Biometric Lock

Prevent unauthorised access to your email by requiring a biometric authentication every time the app opens or returns from the background.

Enabling biometric lock

1. Open the Kerabie Mail app.
2. Go to Settings (bottom tab or drawer).
3. Under Privacy & Security, toggle Biometric lock on.

The next time you open the app or switch back to it from another app, you'll be prompted for Face ID, Touch ID, or your fingerprint.

How it works

• Cold start: the lock screen shows immediately when you open the app.
• Background resume: if you switch to another app and come back, the lock activates.
• Authentication: tap Authenticate to use your biometric. If it fails, tap again to retry.
• No biometrics enrolled? If your device doesn't have biometrics set up, the app unlocks silently — biometric lock has no effect on devices without enrolled biometrics.

Disabling biometric lock

Go to Settings → Biometric lock and toggle it off. No authentication is required to disable it.

Tip

Biometric lock works alongside your device's screen lock. It adds an extra layer specifically for the Kerabie Mail app — useful on shared devices.
