How to Add Your First Mailbox

Kerabie Mail supports three mailbox types. You can add any of them from Settings → Mailboxes → Add mailbox.

Option 1 — Kerabie mailbox

A new address at yourname@kerabie.email, hosted entirely by us.

  1. Go to Settings → Mailboxes → Add mailbox.
  2. Choose Kerabie mailbox.
  3. Pick a username (e.g. johnjohn@kerabie.email).
  4. Your mailbox is ready immediately.

Free plan includes 1 mailbox with 500 MB storage and up to 50 emails per day.

Option 2 — Custom domain mailbox

Use your own domain (you@yourcompany.com). You must own the domain and be able to edit its DNS records.

  1. Go to Settings → Domains → Add domain.
  2. Enter your domain name.
  3. Add the DNS records shown (MX, SPF, DKIM). These typically take 5–15 minutes to propagate.
  4. Once verified, go to Settings → Mailboxes → Add mailbox and choose your domain.

See Setting Up Your Custom Domain for the full DNS guide.

Option 3 — Connect an existing account

Link any Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, or IMAP/SMTP email account and read it inside Kerabie Mail.

  1. Go to Settings → Mailboxes → Add mailbox.
  2. Choose Connect existing account.
  3. Enter your email address, IMAP server, IMAP port (993), SMTP server, SMTP port (587), and password.
  4. Tap Connect — Kerabie Mail will verify the credentials and import your folders.

For Gmail you may need to generate an App Password if you have 2-Step Verification enabled.

Managing multiple mailboxes

You can switch between mailboxes using the account switcher at the top of the left sidebar (mobile: the drawer). The badge on each account shows unread count.

To remove a mailbox, go to Settings → Mailboxes and tap the trash icon next to the account.
